چکیده
ASD and more frequently the ostium secundum type is a relatively common adult congenital heart disease. Sjogren’s syndrome on other side second most frequent auto immune disease, Involving lungs in 9–20% of patients. We report case 69 years old woman, complaining long-standing dyspnea was diagnosed with syndrom. Her CT scan pulmonary function tests were normal. That lead to investigate for hypertension as potential cause her dyspnea. A TTE performed estimated systolic pressure at 30 mmhg, showed an OS left right shunt. Right catheterization calculated mPaP 20 mmhg. She scheduled percutaneous closure ASD. There are only few cases reporting association between polyendocrine syndrome, even fewer without syndrome. Farook Al. discussed women presenting SS complicated PAH, suggesting two pathologies by inflammatory process, Inoue et presented polyartritis rheumatoid inducing shunt through patent foramen oval. In our case, mild probably reason dyspnea, there no interstitial lung disease normal PFT.Unfortunately, sufficient data eventual The learning point importance screening unexplained

Platypnea - orthodeoxia syndrome with atrial septal defect.
A 75-year old man was referred to hospital for symptomatic hypoxemia. He did not complain of dyspnea while supine, but while sitting or standing, he experienced dyspnea with severe hypoxemia. He did not have any pulmonary diseases that could cause dyspnea. Transesophageal echocardiography revealed an atrial septal aneurysm with a small atrial septal defect (ASD) and a mild left-to-right shunt t...

This is a case report of a woman with congenital atrial septal defect, untreated surgically, who survived to the age of 87 years. Only two patients with longer survival were found in the literature.

Introduction: Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) is one of the most common congenital heart diseases during childhood. Today, ASD closure is done by occlutech device via cardiac catheterization. ASD repair with transcatheter technique has shown high closure rate. However, coexistence of severe pulmonary stenosis and large defect in atrial septum is rare. When these two problems coexist, the result is i...
متن کاملRight‐side pulmonary agenesis with atrial septal defect in adult
Pulmonary agenesis, a rare congenital condition, is incompatible with life when present bilateral, while unilateral agenesis is usually detected in infancy or early childhood. Rare asymptomatic patients may reach adulthood undiagnosed, with signs mimicking common conditions presenting as radiopaque hemithorax with ipsilateral mediastinal shift. Here, we describe a case of a young lady, with his...
متن کاملSinus Venosus Atrial Septal Defect as a Cause of Palpitations and Dyspnea in an Adult: A Diagnostic Imaging Challenge
Sinus venosus atrial septal defects (SV-ASD) have nonspecific clinical presentations and represent a diagnostic imaging challenge. Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) remains the initial diagnostic imaging modality. However, detection rates have been as low as 12%. Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) improves diagnostic accuracy though it may not detect commonly associated partial anomalous...
